Wie in einem Spiegel sieht Manolo, ein ehemaliger
Matador de Toros, sich selbst in Mario, einem jungen
Stierkämpfer. Die langen Trainingseinheiten, aus denen
der Film besteht, bringen uns in die umstrittene Welt des
Stierkampfes, weit entfernt vom klassischen Bild des Stierkämpfers,
der in Gold gekleidet und von Pomp umgeben ist.

Come in uno specchio, Manolo, un ex matador de toros,
si vede riflesso in Mario, un giovane torero. Le lunghe sessioni
di allenamento di cui è composto il film ci portano nel controverso
mondo della corrida con uno sguardo particolare, lontano
dall'immagine classica del torero vestito d'oro e circondato
dallo sfarzo.

As if in a mirror, Manolo, a former matador de toros,
sees himself in Mario, a young bullfighter.The long training
sessions of which the film is made up, bring us into the
controversial world of bullfighting through a particular angle
and look, far from the classical image of the bullfighter dressed
in gold and surrounded by pomp.

Sebastiano Luca Insinga, Catania, 15 novembre 1984. Durante gli studi in Lettere, a Trento, inizia a sperimentare il video e la fotografia come mezzo espressivo e ideale. Nel 2008 realizza il mio primo cortometraggio Maledetta Primavera, attraverso filmati familiari in super8. Nel 2012 partecipa al Berlinale Talent Campus con il documentario Nulla è Accaduto e nel 2013 a Film Factory Italia, dove ho diretto Cristiana Capotondi in Hands. Viene selezionato al NISIMASA European Short Pitch 2015 con la sceneggiatura di Non gioco più. Nel 2015 dirige il documentario Marlene Kuntz. Complimenti per la festa, evento speciale del 56° Festival dei Popoli di Firenze.

Im Jahr 2008 drehte er seinen ersten Kurzfilm Maledetta Primavera (Verdammter Frühling) mit Super8-Familienaufnahmen. 2012 nahm ich mit dem Dokumentarfilm Nulla è Accaduto am Berlinale Talent Campus teil und 2013 an der Film Factory Italia, wo ich bei Cristiana Capotondi in Hands Regie führte. Mit dem Drehbuch von Non gioco più wurde er beim NISIMASA European Short Pitch 2015 ausgewählt. 2015 führte er bei dem Dokumentarfilm Marlene Kuntz.
