is a high-end sector-oriented programme. Young filmmakers are given support when putting the final touches to their feature or documentary feature films.

It’s particularly in the finishing stages of film projects that a number of important decisions arise regarding both form and content; sometimes there are financial shortages, technical or marketing problems, all of which need to be overcome. Which is why, and for the sixth time, IDM Film Fund & Commission and the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen are offering young filmmakers the opportunity of giving their film projects the final touch in a confidential dialogue with an interdisciplinary group of experts, and of discussing the individual parameters needed for a successful film start.

Application for FINAL TOUCH #7 is now open for young filmmakers from Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Albania/Kosovo (the host country of the festival) until 20 february 2022, submitting information about their project, its status as well as a rough cut or descriptive teaser of the film (with English subtitles – can be also work in progress). Important: if filmmakers are submitting only a teaser, they have to present at least 5 days before FINAL TOUCH a rough cut of the film project, if the project was chosen for a participation (again with English subtitles).

After the closing date a jury will select a maximum of four projects whose makers (two persons per project) will be invited to the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen in Bozen-Bolzano (South Tyrol, Italy) from 8 – 9 April 2022. They will receive on the spot intensive feedback from the

In addition there are two prizes on offer which will be awarded as part of this initiative:

• Cine Chromatix Post-Production Prize
  Post-production firm CineChromatix Italy (based in Meran-Merano, South Tyrol) is offering the winning team post-production services to the value of 5,000 euro for the completion of their project.

• TRUE COLOURS International Distribution Prize
  The prize contains an in-depth session with True Colours on an International Sales Strategy for the winner project

Participation in FINAL TOUCH #7 includes overnight accommodation in Bozen-Bolzano, travel expenses and festival accreditation. For now, the program is planned as a physical event in compliance with the latest safety protocols and hygiene requirements. Should the Covid-19 situation not allow for a physical get-together FINAL TOUCH will be held online.
