Italian premiere

Andrea, eine Polizistin auf dem Land, möchte ihre unglückliche Ehe beenden und in der Stadt eine neue Stelle als Kriminalinspektorin antreten. Nach einer Geburtstagsfeier läuft ihr plötzlich der Noch-Ehemann betrunken vors Auto. Im Schock begeht Andrea Fahrerflucht. Zu ihrer eigenen Überraschung bekennt sich Franz, Religionslehrer und trockener Alkoholiker, zu der Tat.

Andrea, una poliziotta di campagna, vuole porre fine al suo matrimonio infelice e assumere un nuovo incarico come ispettore di polizia in città. Dopo una festa di compleanno, il suo attuale marito, ancora ubriaco, le si para improvvisamente davanti all'auto e lei lo travolge. Nel panico, Andrea scappa senza prestare soccorso. Sorprendentemente, Franz, insegnante di religione ed ex alcolista ormai sobrio, si autoaccusa del fatto.

Andrea, a policewoman in the country, wants to end her unhappy marriage and take up a new job as a detective inspector in the city. After a birthday party, her husband suddenly runs into her car while drunk. In shock, Andrea commits a hit-and-run. To her surprise, Franz, a religious teacher and recovering alcoholic, confesses to the crime.

Geboren 1962 in Waldhausen, Österreich. Der preisgekrönte Kabarettist unternimmt immer wieder Ausflüge ins Filmfach als Schauspieler, Drehbuchautor und Regisseur. Als Schauspieler erhielt er unter anderem den Darstellerpreis beim Locarno Film Festival, den Preis der Deutschen Filmkritik und war für den Europäischen Filmpreis nominiert. Mit seinem Regiedebüt, Wilde Maus, für das er nicht nur das Drehbuch schrieb, sondern in dem er auch die Hauptrolle übernahm, wurde er 2017 in den Wettbewerb der Berlinale eingeladen.

Nato nel 1962 a Waldhausen, in Austria. Il pluripremiato cabarettista si cimenta ripetutamente nell'industria cinematografica come attore, sceneggiatore e regista. Come attore, ha ricevuto il Premio dell'Attore al Festival di Locarno, il Premio della Critica Cinematografica Tedesca ed è stato nominato per l'European Film Award. Con il suo debutto alla regia, Wild Mouse, di cui non solo ha scritto la sceneggiatura ma ha anche interpretato il ruolo principale, è stato invitato al Concorso della Berlinale nel 2017.

Born in Waldhausen, Austria in 1962, the award-winning comedian has repeatedly ventured into film as an actor, screenwriter and director. He has won acting awards including at the Locarno Film Festival, the German Film Critics’ Award and a nomination for the European Film Awards. For his directing debut Wild Mouse, he also wrote the screenplay and took the leading role. The film was selected to screen in Competition at the 2017 Berlinale.
